Spring Family Event
Adam’s Camp and Partners in Pediatrics
present

For 2013, we did something brands new for our spring family event, Hoops for Hope. Adam’s Camp and Partners in Pediatrics (PIP) teamed up to bring the Harlem Ambassadors to compete with our team, the Adam’s Camp PIPsters, on March 10, 2013 and the results were tremendous!

-
over 700 people joined us for some great fun
-
over $56,000 was raised for the programs of Adam’s Camp

Thank you, Christina Hinkle, for getting things rolling with your performance of the national anthem. You were wonderful!

The internationally acclaimed Harlem Ambassadors brought their unique brand of Harlem-style basketball, featuring high-flying slam dunks, dazzling ball-handling tricks and hilarious comedy routines.

But the Adam’s Camp Pipsters gave it their all to make the game competitive and the entertainment unpredictable. There were impromptu dance contests, musical chairs, wrestling matches and more!

Many thanks go to our sponsors for making this all possible -
The Hauserman Family, Steve and Jane Buckley and Scott and Amy Fisher – thank you for your continued support!

The Adam’s Camp PIPsters, coached by former Denver Nugget, Bill Hanzlik, featured a number of local celebrities including Jim Benemann of CBS Local, Channel 4, Theresa Marchetta of ABC Channel 7, former Denver Bronco Tom Nalen and more. Adam’s Camp Adventure Campers, Sally and Derek were the real stars of the show but we loved seeing some of our favorite pediatricians from Partners in Pediatrics dusting off their hoop skills to play as well.

Olympic Gold Medalist and local hero, Missy Franklin, was on hand to help us get the action going! Thank you, Missy.
