Mountain-based Programs
All mountain programs are held at YMCA of the Rockies – Snow Mountain Ranch, located 2 hours from Denver. Volunteers for these programs are in residence for the entire week of camp. Accommodations and dinners are provided.
Pathfinder Therapy and Trailblazer Assistants are valued members of our unique therapy programs, providing 6 hours of one-on-one and activity-based therapy each day across 5 days for children with special needs. This is an excellent opportunity for students to shadow therapists, learning how a variety of professionals work together on the same goals with a multidisciplinary approach. Volunteers greet families each morning, set up and maintain therapy equipment and space, play with the children, take pictures for treatment documentation, help setup and clean up meals, and provide childcare during parent–therapist conferences. Afternoons and evenings provide time to conference with the therapists, document clinical notes and plan for the next day. Volunteers arrive at noon on Sunday and finish at 8pm the following Saturday.

Sibling Program Assistants are important to the success of our Sibling Program, which provides exciting activities for the siblings of our Pathfinder Therapy and Trailblazer program.
