Have you ever thought, “I really like Adam’s Camp and would like to find a way to help out but I’m not sure I can volunteer for a whole week?”
You’re not the only one. And there are so many ways to lend a hand. That’s why we’ve created,
Who: Whole families, young (or not so young) professionals, retirees, anybody who would like to lend their skills and hands to support the children, youth and families of Adam’s Camp.
What: Be part of a group of individuals and families who all want to support Adam’s Camp, using your strengths for our campers. Project areas include awareness, program support and fund-raising. We have a number of options or you can come up with your own.
When: You give your time when it works for you. We don’t have regular meetings, although some groups working on a project together may choose to meet. Communication will handled as needed and in the manner that works best for you, such as email, texts, etc.
We had a terrific kick-off event on Sunday, January 27th at Celebrity Lanes where about 50 new Adam’s Camp Advocates had a chance to learn more about it, meet with one another, choose their project or area of interest and bowl in our own private party room!
Some of the possible projects or options to support Adam’s Camp include:
Sell tickets or volunteer to help at a fund-raising event
Organize or host a family connection event, bringing Adam’s Camp families together outside of camp
Host a party to benefit Adam’s Camp
Help plan and organize a “Run under the Stars” event, a fun-run wthere teams gather sponsors and run all night to raise money for Adam’s Camp
Volunteer for a week at camp
Contact restaurants to see if they’ll do a fund-raising day for Adam’s Camp
Distribute information about Adam’s Camp in the community – we’ll provide the materials; you share them with your clubs, schools, co-workers, healthcare providers, etc.
