The National Down Syndrome Congress holds an annual convention that draws self-advocates, families, professionals and expert speakers from around the world. For 2013, the convention will be in our own backyard of Denver, Colorado on July 19-21!  This provides an exceptional opportunity for those in Colorado who may never have been able to attend the convention before to do so.  The convention is really several gatherings in one.  There’s the general convention but also a Youth and Adults program, Kids’ Camp and  a Brothers and Sisters program.  These special offerings are almost full so be sure to register today.  Other great aspects of the event are:

• a speciallydesigned DS-ASD/Complex Behaviors track at this year’s convention thanks to a partnership with the Down Syndrome – Autism Connection
• an adult sibling track
• a research and medical care roundtable

A night of Music, Merriment

and BIG CITY VIEWS!

On January 25 our annual winter ball,  Big City Lights, for camp participants, volunteers and friends 16 and up was a big hit!  We had more guests this year than ever before.  There was great dance music, great food, a fun magician, a fabulous photographer and even face/hand painting.

Thank you to our amazing volunteers.  You made everybody feel instantly welcomed and part of the fun.

Thank you, Hyatt Regency DTC for the beautiful setting.  Everybody loved the Centennial room with it’s amazing views, and the food and service was fabulous.
